Liz from a belle, a bean and a chicago dog came up with a great link-up after she showed us this picture that started the whole #SeniorHottie day.Of course, I had to participate. I love embarrassing myself to the point of no return on my blog.In 1990, just before entering high school, this was my hair. I believe several cans of Rave hair spray, a curling iron, a few bottles of sun-in and a blow dryer were involved in creating this masterpiece. Between my sister and I, my parents had to replace the bathroom wallpaper due to all the hairspray on the walls.
When I started my freshman year of high school, I figured it was time to change my look.
Ok, not really. Still rocked the bangs but I did ditch the braces.Don’t ask me how this senior picture didn’t get me on some sort of Disney-stalker watch list.
The obligatory stare off in another direction senior picture.
My senior prom dress that I’m pretty sure my mom made into curtains the moment I left for college. (Note: you’ll have to click to enlarge to get the full effect. One word: paisley.)
By the time my graduation rolled around in June of 1995, I had somewhat of a normal haircut. No wallpaper was harmed in the making of this hairdo.
Thanks to Liz for a really fun link-up. Now go check out all theother #SeniorHottie’s!

Tennis players rule. Mostly because I am one.
Thanks for sharing those photos. I am not sure I would be brave enough to post old school pics of me on my blog, so kudos to you.

I only was brave because of the linkup! Trust me.

Oh my gosh!! I totally had those straight up in the air bangs in Jr high. I like the Disney picture, it’s cute.
May 25, 2011 at 12:05 pm
Straight up bangs were the “in” thing I guess!

That is so sweet to say after seeing that big hair!
May 25, 2011 at 7:16 am
Not only could we be Senior Hottie twins with our tennis rackets, but we probably played tennis against each other in high school!
May 25, 2011 at 12:11 pm
Now I need to know where you played tennis because your sweatshirt in your pic did look familiar!

Anchor Bay

Oh these are great, my 1990/beginning of high school shot looks exactly the same. Oh the v-neck cardigan and necklace dangling from a turtleneck, how could that have ever went out of style. And LOVE the Disney themes shot.
May 25, 2011 at 12:12 pm
I so remember the necklace dangling from turtleneck. Was my favorite look!

This link up is awesome. And I don’t comment here enough. Also? I feel like I know all of you now, because we all sought the same Aquanet stiffness in those late eighties/early nineties years.
May 25, 2011 at 12:16 pm
Thank you for saying that! Quite a compliment from you.
I forgot about Aquanet…I could never pick between Rave & Aquanet!

May 25, 2011 at 9:33 am
Wow! You may win the “most changed hairdo” superlative! Fun post.
May 25, 2011 at 2:20 pm
There definitely was a progression!
May 25, 2011 at 9:45 am
These looks are spectacular – the only thing missing is a solid musical soundtrack to go with your picture montage. I would suggest a little Bel Biv Devoe, perhaps Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch, Right Said Fred’s “I’m too Sexy”.. ah, the list of bad 90′s music could go on. Fun blog!
May 25, 2011 at 2:21 pm
Oooh…Bel Biv Devoe! Thanks for visiting!

May 25, 2011 at 2:21 pm
I’m pretty sure I thought that at the time!

May 25, 2011 at 10:11 am
Sun-in and hair spray WERE the perfect formula for great 90′s hair. I had Salon Selectives cause it smelled soooo yummy!
May 25, 2011 at 2:22 pm
I was addicted to sun-in!
May 25, 2011 at 10:13 am
Oh my! I L-O-V-E the progression! And you went from big hair to HUGE hair…but then got all sleek and stuff in time for senior year! And the Mickey thing totally makes me laugh. Are you really that big of a fan?
May 25, 2011 at 2:23 pm
I think I may have been. I honestly don’t remember but I will say that Charlie and I may have already been to Disney twice before we had kids!
May 25, 2011 at 11:58 am
I LOVE your hair in your senior pic!! That’s how I want my hair to look now!I’m pretty sure that in your freshman yr pic & my senior pic we had the exact same hair do!
May 25, 2011 at 12:17 pm
Exactly the same. I had crazy thick hair. You have thick, don’t you?
May 25, 2011 at 1:18 pm
This is absolutely fantastic! The Disney picture? I may die laughing…with you not at you (just wanted to clear that up)
May 25, 2011 at 2:24 pm

May 25, 2011 at 1:30 pm
The senior picture in yellow is wonderful! I remember everyone with big hair. My hair is so fine. It would never have worked into a raised bangs style.
May 25, 2011 at 2:24 pm
I’m sure I could’ve helped you get them to stand straight up!

May 25, 2011 at 7:16 pm
Wow, I missed super sun-in!
May 25, 2011 at 8:32 pm

OMG that sweater was so CLASSIC 90s!!! The thick v-neck OH YEAH. I can’t say much about the hair. I liked that hair decade and though mine was never as large as yours, I do not regret what I did with my hair. I am also really in love with that prom dress. Probably because my own was also off the shoulder like that. I mostly love the blue! Your “in the woods” picture ius EXACTLY what I was talking about in my post! And the mickey one? You seriously should have been checked out by a therapist for that one. Seriously.
