For the month of January, I participated in the January Photo-A-Day (#JANphotoaday) challenge online. Each day you were given a direction for your photo – things like nature, where you sleep or morning.
I wanted to share my favorite pictures from the month with the theme of the day and the caption I included. After doing this challenge, I’m actually inspired to try a 365 project with my DSLR.
That is, once I really figure out how to use the DSLR and log back into my flickr account.
For now…I leave you with my iPhone shots that some of you may have also seen on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter or Tumblr. I may share pictures on way too many different social sites.

January 1: You. Up late, no shower, playing on Pinterest.
January 4: Letterbox. My vows box from my SIL for wedding memories. If you know someone getting married, get them one. I still look in this box often 11 years later.
January 6: Makes You Smile. A 10 year anniversary trip up north. Tennis. Beach. Wine. Sushi. Hiking. M22.
January 9: Daily Routine. Gym. Teach. Kids. Dinner. Bedtime. Chill. Wash. Rinse. Repeat. 5x a week.
January 10: Childhood. Childhood means funny goggles, merry-go-rounds, sleds and passing out sitting up.
January 11: Where You Sleep. Usually on this pillow because I have a preschooler-who-shall-remain-nameless pillow thief.
January 12: Close-Up. A pic of my abs. Or maybe it’s a pic of a poster at my gym. You be the judge.
January 15: Happiness. I’ll take “What is the opposite of for $600 please, Alex.”
January 16: Morning. Day off with the kids. Isn’t this how you all spend your mornings?
January 18: Something You Bought. A gigantic lollipop. Obviously against my better judgment.
January 22: Your Shoes. The ones I wore for a very special day on 9.7.2001.
January 25: Something You Made. This spunky 4 year old ball of hilarity.
Pic 2 from the same day: Not to leave out Coop-a-loop…pretty proud of making this guy, too.
January 30: Nature. Force of.
January 31: You. Again. Kiss this month goodbye. And yah, this is the face I make and the reason I’m thinking I wasn’t kissed a lot in my former single life.
That’s it. My month in pics. Well, half of my month in pics.

I’m doing 365, or rather 366 and dude it’s hard. So I don’t think I could have kept up with the Jan photo challenge – good stuff, loved all your pictures!

I love January 6th! Definitely my favorite. I think breaking it down into months is so much more manageable than saying 366, even though it’s the same thing. Does that make sense?

We love Star Wars at our house too. I love the Darth Vader helmet. Sometimes I feel like Vader.
